The New Inn is a Grade II listed building with origins dating back to the 13th century. It’s timber- framed architecture and cruck truss roof structures are hallmarks of its era. Originally 3 cottages, The New Inn first opened as a Public House in 1809, when it served as a coaching inn, where travellers would stop for lodging and refreshment.

As part of the Hall & Woodhouse family, The New Inn serves award-winning Badger Ales, locally brewed in Dorset since 1777. The pub has earned accolades such as the 'Best Newcomer' award at the Hall & Woodhouse Business Partnerships Awards 2025, reflecting its commitment to quality and community.

The Inn is now home to four characterful bedrooms above a space focused on provenance and simplicity. Our chef’s create daily specials alongside a menu shaped by the seasons.
